Fane developed an interest in storytelling at a very young age. In early elementary, Fane remembered performing sketches and stand-up comedy with his friends in his basement. His first experience acting on stage came when he was in grade 11, where he played a gravedigger in his high school main stage production of Frankenstein. That experience ignited his fire for acting, and he continued to act in his high school main stage productions until his graduation.
After high school, he registered for the Theatre program at the University of Calgary, and completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies. Fane also developed a passion for improvisation, which lead him to train and perform at the world renowned Loose Moose Theatre, while completing his degrees.
With a new found sense of confidence in his training, Fane began booking and performing in commercials. These experiences on commercial sets, inspired him to move to Vancouver, BC in search for more Film, TV and Commercial opportunities.
Since he has moved to Vancouver, Fane is happy to have been part of some great projects including: ABC's Once Upon a Time, Fox's Fringe, and SyFy's Eureka, to name a few. Favorite theatre credits include: The Darin Joes production of Impaired Functioning at the Vancouver Fringe Festival, playing John F. in Daniel Brooks' Insomnia, and A in Sarah Kane's Crave. He has also appeared in multiple commercials, voiceovers, and several productions as a host. Fane also frequently teams up with The Herd Films - a Vancouver based video production company - to create award winning commercials with their own brand of imagination and humor.
