Daniel T. Thomsen is an American television writer and producer.

Biography

Life and Career

Thomsen was born in Syracuse, New York and begin his career on television in 2003 when he worked briefly on the MTV reality show Punk'd. Thomsen's first writing credit was for CBS's crime drama Close To Home in 2005.

Thomsen later became a staff writer for the Fox science-fiction series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, where he wrote 3 episodes in 2008-2009. Also in 2009, Thomsen appeared as himself in a short film titled Write the Future. Following its cancellation in 2010, Thomsen joined the writing staff of The CW network's reboot of Melrose Place, alongside Liz Tigelaar.

Aside from writing, Thomsen worked on Smallville as a script supervisor and on Skin as an assistant to writer.

In the fall of 2011, Thomsen joined the first season crew of Once Upon a Time, as an executive story editor and writer. During the second season of the show, he was promoted to co-producer. Thomsen is also an author of Once Upon a Time: Shadow of the Queen alongside Corinna Bechko.
